Unspoken Ideas is a blog by Aquila Rivers. The blog’s content revolves around politics, parenting, education, entertainment, career and finances. In addition, other topics will be discussed as well. If I find a funny Youtube clip, I’ll post it. Or an interesting article written by someone else, especially Opinion Editorials from my local newspapers.

Aquila has written several articles that have been published in her school’s student newspaper and Opinion Editorials. The focus of the blog is to gain insight from all over the country and to have an outlet to express concerns about current affairs. Aquila does not claim to be an expert, but only seeks to share ideas and gain understanding.

How did the title of the blog come about?

The take on the word “unspoken” regards how many of us want to express ourselves, and for different reasons we often don’t speak up. Some of those reasons vary from not wanting to be prejudged; fear that an army of people holding pitch forks will come after you; or quite simply, we often think that no one will listen. I used to be one of those people. “Unspoken” is relative to feeling powerless sometimes, but the blog is the opposite, although even as I blog, it might be spoken in a local newspaper, but who knows what kind of change that it might prevail. I hope that some of my unspoken thoughts is blogged and is able enlighten someone from a different perspective. We all have ideas – I think it’s important to hear all sides of the equation.
